What color buttons should I use for my wonderfully soft and warm February lady Sweater. The color is in the pictures from the last post and it is all knit up, but it has no buttons. Any advice?
light brown? Light blue? something else?
I am feeling silly to ask...but this one is confounding me. I'll probably wear it mostly with jeans and black skirts, and will wear black shirts and brown ones under it.

I vote Lt. Blue. As close to the color as possible. If when you're in So. Cal...you want to visit my button shop let me know. Downtown Fullerton. Gilding The Lily. http://gildingthelilyvintage.blogspot.com/
Lime green - just kidding! :)
I was thinking maybe pewter buttons. Kind of a brushed silver with bits of black on it.
I'd use blue or silver - the pewter idea is a good one, if you could find some that aren't too heavy.
On a different note - did you see that Dick Francis died? I'm glad that he and his son have one more book coming out this fall.
I vote for light blue if you are going to wear black or brown under it. I like Laura's pewter idea, too.
Thank you all for your advice! I'll have to hit the stores as soon as I recover from the long, wonderful weekend I had.
I am so glad you all came through for me.
I think I'll look for a color like pewter or something blue with just a shade lighter than the colorway.
I did not see that Dick Francis had did, Laura....I do so enjoy his adventure stories.
Oh, and Kristen....I will be there in a couple of weeks...and I'd love to fit in a meeting to your LYS. Tammy, you up to come with us?
I don't know if I have validity leaving you a comment, since this is my first time to your site. But, intrigued I read on and fell in love with you as you described knitting gloves for 'DH'. So, now I would like to give you my two cents, for what that's worth.
I think big gray roundy-type buttons would be cute. The size of a dum-dum, perhaps. Just a thought.
I also haven't commented before, and you seem set on a decision, but I would totally vote for brown - I think it would compliment the blue beautifully.
